Some Things from Summer Vacation

Once again I'm forced to post vacation shots - too much rain!

Say hello to Cooter. We enjoyed some quality time

I didn't spend all my time with the dog!

Don't see many of these in NH - this is in NY

Every Cheerio you have eaten on the East Coast was made in this building in Buffalo

Behold the Fiji Mermaid.  She lives in Portland Maine

                                   More to follow!

Less Really Isn't More, Is It?

Between really bad painting conditions and call of daily life, there hasn't been much to look at here.
I do hope that things dry out enough for us to complete the candy door fronts, so that we can start on the great car-shopping image we've planned.

Meanwhile, a few travel photos to distract you:

Looks sort of like 1964, doesn't it?  That is Lake Erie in the background.

Yes, I was there. They have great tees.

See you soon

Litchfield Lane Art Continued

Here's the rest of my stuff - it's finally done.

and done

Really, it's done

We'll have a new volunteer joining us. More about him next week.
We'll also start another mural - one that's really different for me.

Rain or Shine...

Let's face it - some of us arty types  don't know enough to stay inside when iy's raining.

Look what we have managed to get done this week....

Yep, these will be the M&Ms

Take a look at this..

What's happening with the murals?

So, we'll be painting tomorrow - no rain, lower humidity.  And, the surfaces won't be so hot that paint either soaks in on contact, or runs as if it were water.

Will post some shots of both murals late on Friday.
Meanwhile, your moment of beauty for today:

Yes, New Mural Work Has Started!

After waiting 'way too long for outdoor projects -  new ones, we have begun.

Here is the project I began yesterday:

At one hour (and it's hot!)

At two hours (it's still hot...)

Here's a close-up

There is another mural sketched out.  And...one more is scheduled.
Keep checking in.  We'll be posting art progress.

This weather is not cooperating

We will not be painting outdoors for the next few days - heat and humidity are not good for the artistic process....or its makers.

Sunday will be the next day for al fresco painting - supplies and brushes and painters are ready. Be postive...
