You're Invited to an Artist's Reception Featuring the artwork of Peg Lipin Thursday, October 20, 2016  5:30pm - 7:00pm The Provident Bank, 1 Provident Way, Seabrook, NH 03874 The Lobby for the Arts The Provident Bank’s Lobby for the Arts in Seabrook is pleased to present the work of Peg Lipin. The exhibit will be on display to the public during regular bank hours at The Provident Bank’s 1 Provident Way, Seabrook, NH location, through December. The public is invited to an Artist’s Reception honoring Peg on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5:30 – 7:00pm at our 1 Provident Way, Seabrook, NH office. Light refreshments will be served. About the Artist As a child, I would stare out car windows, planning on reproducing the beauty of central NY when “I was an artist”. This took so much longer than I ever would have expected. Real life tends to hold off daydreams, so I have been actively involved in art for only about sixteen years. During that time, I have written several children’s books (unpublished), done watercolor and silverpoint. I’ve painted furniture, fabric, and floor cloths. Now, I tend to concentrate on acrylic painting. My style isn’t genre-limited. The work ranges from collage gardens to painted florals to anthropomorphic animals. Some abstract and surrealistic touches also creep in. However, color is the identifying feature of every piece that has come from my imagination. My experience includes membership in the MAA, in the Eagle Eyes (Manchester, NH) outdoor mural program, in the Cat Alley mural project, and in the 2016 Parade of Eagles here on the Seacoast. For the past two years, Deb Curtin and I have painted together as the ArtGypsies, in all sorts of unusual spots, as well as art fairs.  It’s a pleasure to have work on display with The Provident Bank, and in other public venues. The Provident Bank’s Lobby for the Arts Program, celebrating its 19th year, is an ongoing series of local art exhibits displayed at all The Provident Bank branch lobbies. It receives no commission for artwork sold, and pays all expenses associated with the exhibit. The Provident Bank has been recognized for its commitment to building a creative community with a 2012 New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts (NHBCA) Business in the Arts Award for the Lobby for the Arts program as well as for its support of local artists and cultural organizations throughout the Seacoast New Hampshire region.
