Working With Metallic Coloring
Since I started as a painter, I have had the habit of inserting metallic paints into areas that needed some definition, some je ne sais quoi to attract the viewer's eye. I don't mean great swathes of gliittery color, or cute little bits here and there.
If you took some time and looked carefully at my outdoor and tree pieces (find them at peglipin.com), you will easily see what has been done. Take a look at the pieces on this blog, you'll find some inner strength in colors or unexpected objects.
Look at another painting in progress here - it is related to an earlier Christmas work from 2013, where angels (creatures existing as semi-organized clouds of molecules awaiting the Almighty's command, according to one author) crossing the dimensional barrier to Earth release clouds of electrons and heat that look like mist to humans around Bethlehem.
As for the traveling angels, here they are:
